The Florida platoon started in January 2014 when Corinna Von Doe took on the role as Platoon Leader. Over the past two years our Florida presence grew from only one to over twenty members today.
We’ve been very active in our state introducing PFP to the public, informing about our mission and supporting good causes benefiting our Vets, active military and first responders.
Besides raising awareness at bike and classic car shows, we showed our appreciation to local Police and Fire Departments by bringing them sweets and homemade cookies, we supported fundraisers benefiting a veteran in need of a track chair and a K9 unit, visited patients at the VA hospital and attended events honoring our Veterans; to name a few.
Over the next year we’d love to grow our presence in the Panhandle and overall popularity in the entire state. Going forward we want to continue to support our cause and raise awareness for PTSD by working with local charities as well as raising donations during events and through event modeling, so we can keep giving back and support those whose service we so appreciate.
